Summary
As the key equipment in smart grid, the temperature of cable joint of ring main unit is one of the important parameters of the system. Cable joint is the weak link of reliable operation of ring main unit. Its performance quality depends not only on the material of cable joint, but also on the manufacturing process of cable joint, and also on the real-time load. Any of the above factors may lead to the heating of the cable head in the ring main unit. If it is not found out in time, the temperature of the cable head will rise until the explosion occurs, and even the insulation sleeve in the cabinet will burst, causing the whole ring main unit to explode. In view of this phenomenon, Shandong Qinzhi Electric has developed a fluorescent optical fiber temperature control system for the cable head of the ring main unit.
The hot spot temperature of copper in insulating plug can be monitored in real time by pouring temperature measuring insert inside insulating plug of cable. The optical fiber interface is left outside the insulating plug, and the temperature demodulator is connected by connecting the optical fiber to realize the temperature measurement. It is easy to install in the ring main unit, which can realize real-time monitoring and early warning.
